SIB (Société Innovation du Bâtiment), a subsidiary of the Nadia Group, is a French manufacturer specializing in gates, fences, shutters, garage doors, and other aluminum outdoor design solutions. The company designs, manufactures, and assembles its products at its production facility in Mortagne-sur-Sèvre, in the Vendée region. Since aluminum is at the heart of its products, SIB generates aluminum profile scraps as a result of its custom manufacturing process. As part of its commitment to the circular economy and resource optimization, the company aims to reuse these scraps to reduce waste and limit its purchases of new materials.
To optimize the management of its profile inventory, SIB needed a solution that would provide clear visibility into the length and availability of remaining profiles. This visibility is essential for more easily identifying reusable offcuts and facilitating their reintegration into the production cycle.
SIB was therefore looking for a simple, easy-to-understand, and practical tool capable of assessing this potential for reuse and informing its day-to-day decisions. With this in mind, SIB chose to partner with Reeverse Systems.
36 metric tons of aluminum saved in 12 months
A 6-point reduction in the fall rate
152 metric tons of CO2 equivalent avoided
€144,000/year saved on material purchase costs*
*At a market price of €4,000 per metric ton (excluding tax)
Better visibility into available cut pieces and scraps.
Identify which bars can be reused before making any new purchases.
Real-time tracking of falls and data, without paper records
An intuitive interface that allows operators to immediately identify and track falls.
Involvement of the workshop teams from the start of deployment, training, and regular follow-up with Reeverse Systems.
Fall prevention is no longer seen as a burden, but as an opportunity to improve performance.
The initial benefits became apparent quickly. We were able to better identify and make use of our scrap, significantly reducing waste and optimizing our resources. We improved our scrap rate by 5 to 6 percentage points. In 2024, it stood at 20 percent.
For several years, we had been trying to optimize our scrap rate, both for profiles and panels. The solutions we tested often proved to be too complex or lacked clarity regarding the actual benefits.
When we met Reeverse Systems, the difference was immediate: their approach was practical, the simulations were easy to understand, and the results were quickly measurable.
With Reeverse Systems' solution, we had a clear understanding of how it worked right from the first demonstrations. This allowed us to quickly put our doubts to rest and move forward with confidence.
