Interview with an Atlantem operator
To improve performance and reduce material waste, SIB—part of the Nadia Group and a specialist in aluminum gates and doors—has implemented the Reeverse Systems solution to optimize its scrap management. Read the feedback from SIB’s Industrial Director on the reasons behind this partnership, the results achieved , and the support provided by Reeverse Systems to the on-site teams.
What convinced you to adopt the Reeverse Systems solution?
Optimization of scrap rates / Transparency on savings / Easy-to-understand simulations / Quickly measurable results
“We had been trying to optimize our scrap rate for several years, both for profiles and panels. We had already explored several avenues, but the solutions we tested often proved too complex or lacked transparency regarding actual gains.
When we met with Reeverse Systems, the difference was immediate: their approach was practical, the simulations were easy to understand, and the results were quickly measurable.
Our scrap rate exceeded 20%, which is a real challenge when we use nearly 800 metric tons of aluminum profiles per year. Every percentage point gained represents both a material savings and a significant reduction in costs.”
What were the key features you were looking for in a solution, and how did Reeverse Systems meet those needs?
Ease of use / Visibility into savings / Integration with ERP and existing workflows / Commitment to trust
“Above all, we were looking for a solution that was easy to understand and transparent in how it worked. We spoke with other companies that offered ‘black box’ models where it was difficult to understand how the savings were generated.
With Reeverse Systems’ solution, right from the first demonstrations, we had clear visibility into how it worked. This allowed us to quickly dispel our doubts and commit with full confidence.
Integration with our ERP and workflow management systems was also a concern, but Reeverse Systems took the time to explain how the solution would seamlessly integrate with our existing tools without disrupting our operations. That made a real difference.”
What results have you achieved since implementing the MMS?
6-point reduction in drop rate
“The initial benefits were visible right away. We were able to better identify and utilize our offcuts, significantly reducing waste and optimizing our resources. We reduced our scrap rate by 5 to 6 points and are aiming for a 7- to 9-point reduction through batch processing. In 2024, our scrap rate was 20%.
Beyond the financial aspect, the environmental impact is significant: we have implemented a truly measurable and sustainable reuse process, which reinforces our commitment to the circular economy. This is a real competitive advantage in the face of new market demands.”
What feedback have you received from the teams?
Ease of adoption / Tool usability / Involvement of field teams
“One of the key points for us was that the solution be easy for our teams to adopt. We involved our production managers and field teams from the very beginning so they could understand the added value of the MMS.
The tool’s user-friendliness and ease of use led to its rapid adoption. We also benefited from strong support from the Reeverse Systems teams, who provided on-site follow-up and training tailored to our operators’ needs.
Today, our teams no longer view scrap management as a burden, but as an opportunity for optimization. It’s a true“ ” cultural shift.”
