To improve performance and reduce material losses, SIB, part of the Nadia Group, specialist in aluminum gates and closures, has deployed the Reeverse Systems solution to optimize its scrap management. Read the full Q&A below with SIB Europe's Industrial Director.
What convinced you to adopt Reeverse Systems' solution?
"We'd been looking for ways to optimize our off-cut rate for both profiles and panels for several years. We had already explored several avenues, but the solutions we tested often proved to be too complex or not very transparent about the real gains.
When we met Reeverse Systems, the difference was immediate: their approach was concrete, the simulations understandable and the results quickly measurable.
Our off-cuts rate was over 20%, which is a real challenge when we consume almost 800 tonnes of aluminium profiles a year. Every point gained represents both a saving in materials and a significant reduction in costs."
What were the key points you were looking for in a solution, and how did Reeverse Systems meet them?
"Above all, we were looking for a solution that was simple to understand and transparent in its operation. We had come into contact with other companies offering us "black box" models where it was difficult to understand how the gains were generated.
With the Reeverse Systems solution, from the very first demonstrations, we had clear visibility of how it worked. This enabled us to dispel our doubts quickly and commit ourselves with complete confidence.
Integration with our ERP and flow management systems was also a question, but Reeverse Systems took the time to explain how the solution could be easily integrated with our existing tools, without upsetting our organization. This made a real difference."
What results did you achieve after implementing MMS?
"The first benefits were quickly visible. We better identified and valorized our offcuts, significantly reducing losses and optimizing our resources. We have gained 5 to 6 points on the off-cuts rate and are aiming for 7 to 9 points with the batch implementation. In 2024, our off-cuts rate was 20%.
Beyond the financial aspect, theenvironmental impact is significant: we have put in place a genuine, measurable and sustainable reuse process, which reinforces our commitment to the circular economy. It's a real competitive lever in the face of new market demands."
What feedback have you had from the teams?
"One of the key points for us was that the solution should be easy for our teams to adopt. We involved our production managers and field teams from the outset, so that they could understand the added value of MMS.
The tool's ergonomics and ease of use meant that it was quickly adopted. We also benefited from solid support from the Reeverse Systems teams, who provided field follow-up and training tailored to our operators' needs.
Today, our teams no longer see falls management as a constraint, but as an optimization opportunity. It's a real cultural change.
